Greetings one and all … I know I am breaking an unstated “rule of blogging” by apologizing for the lack of activity here in the past week. I know, I know – you’re not supposed to say your sorry, you’re just supposed to keep posting! But I thought it important to say “I’m still here,” but I don’t have too much time for key-pecking at the moment due in large part to the fact I’m visiting my fiance in Seattle.

Anyway, enough with the mea culpa. I’ve got plenty to yap about, so stay tuned for:

• Commentary on New Yorker critic Vince Aletti’s glowing blurb on Suzanne Opton’s Soldier exhibition at a new gallery in Chelsea (he loved it; me … not so much).
• Chatter about Seattle’s new Olympic Sculpture Park, home to an Alexander Calder sculpture that has followed me from city to city.
• A visit to a new-ish (new to me, anyway) Seattle space named Lawrimore Project to check out the intriguingly photo-critical photography of Isaac Layman
