VISUAL THOUGHT

Design Police | 01.16.08

By virtue of being someone who’s always quick to point out poor visual or textual communication (the always fun designer/editor combo), I’m considering becoming an official member of Design Police, and I’d encourage everyone to do the same.

It’s simple. Visit their website, download their “Visual Enforcement Kit,” and get to work. The kit includes five sheets of tabs similar to the “Sign Here” stickies used on documents and it’s loaded with stickers for all the things that need to be said. A few of my favorites: “Kern this!”, “Poor attention to detail,” and “Microsoft Word is not a design tool.”

Oh, and if your state’s presidential primary is coming up soon, please do your research and vote for a candidate promising to uphold the federal legislation keeping comic sans illegal?
