“Street photographers in Rio de Janeiro” by Neil Montanus.
Kodak’s Colorama photographs are known for both their massive size (60 ft. wide) and their saccharin depiction of a naturally pristine and socially carefree 1960s America. The New York Times Lens Blog features several in a brief piece and slideshow highlighting a few Colorama exhibitions; great to see them include a few made in Rio de Janeiro in the late 1970s, including a lineup of thoroughly groovy street photographers.
